THE GARDEN COTTAGE

Charming two bedroom Garden Cottage, sleeps 4, at Exmoor Cottage Holidays

Garden Cottage from the quiet country lane

The stone built Garden Cottage is the smallest holiday cottage for hire at Exmoor Cottage Holidays and is all on one level, ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs. It has a spacious living room with a multifuel stove, a well equipped kitchen, enclosed private garden and two bedrooms which will accommodate up to four people. Garden Cottage is ideal for your UK rental holiday in Exmoor and North Devon.

Garden Cottage was converted from a stone farm building in the 1980's and was renovated in 2007 with a new kitchen and wet room, and the roof was insulated. The furnishings and decorations are all in a traditional style and there are many charming features such as exposed ceiling beams and wooden doors.

The double glazed French doors in the living room lead to a fully enclosed private garden with a picnic table and a gate to a quiet country lane (there are 2 steps out to the garden and a step up and down through the gate). There is plenty of parking on site nearby (and you are welcome to drive up to the main door in the courtyard to load and unload).

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need (electric oven, hob, hood, fridge with freezer box, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, etc.) and many extras such as microwave and coffee maker. You are welcome to use the laundry room on site which has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

The living room faces west and has French doors leading out to a private walled garden. There is a multi fuel stove, digital Freeview TV, a DVD/CD/VCR player, and plenty of seating with two sofas and a dining table and chairs. The main rooms have electric night storage heaters and there is an instant electric heater in the wetroom. The hot water is heated by an immersion heater.

The double bedroom has bedside lamps, a storage compartment under the bed and a built in  antique wardrobe with a large drawer. The twin bedroom has a built in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Please be aware that space in the bedrooms is limited. The beds are all made for your arrival with duvets, pillows and fresh linen  (blankets also provided).

Inside the wetroom is a shower, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail and there are grip handles beside the shower and the WC. Garden Cottage is supplied with cleaning materials and equipment and a complimentary Welcome Pack with some essentials - a few hot drinks, tea towels, dishcloths and a toilet roll.

Also in the cottage is a comprehensive information book about the accommodation and the surrounding area. We are happy to help you plan your day and arrange other activities such as horse riding, guided tours, fishing, taxi service, dog kennelling, etc.

Dogs are welcome and there is a delightful walk on site up and around Humphrey's Hill.
