EXMOOR COTTAGE WALKING HOLIDAYS

EXMOOR COTTAGE HOLIDAYS in the Exmoor National Park is ideal for your family or your groups walking holidays, with Exmoor and North Devon having some of the finest walking in Britain. The comfortable cottages are surrounded by breathtaking walks and there is open access land on the hills all around. Local guides are available from the village shop (and a local map is on display outside).

Most of the spectacular South West Coast Path around North Devon is within half an hours drive of the cottages, as are many popular walks, for example: The Valley of Rocks and Watersmeet near Lynton and Lynmouth; Heddons Mouth at Hunters Inn and Tarr Steps near Withypool. There are also many miles of level walking along the Tarka Trail, a former railway line, which runs along the coast from Braunton to Bideford.

For a useful list of Exmoor walks and guides, see the walking page at Whatsonexmoor. The North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival has lots of organised walks between May 1st and 9th 2008, and you can even hire your own guide at Exmoor Walks.

After a good days walking, where better to relax than in the large enchanting gardens at EXMOOR COTTAGE HOLIDAYS, in front of a log fire in your cosy cottage, or in the local pub enjoying real Exmoor ales and traditional tasty food. Dogs are very welcome.
