One of the delightful paths to Humphrey's Hill |
The wildflower meadow in the summer |
|||
| We welcome children and encourage them (at parental discretion) to explore Humphrey's Hill and the Delve, build dens and play hide and seek in the long grass. They may sample the fruits and vegetables (when in season) and find dragonflies, newts and miniature frogs beside the pond and are most excited when they find something unusual like a lizard or slow worm. There are lots of wild birds in the grounds, we regularly see swallows, robins, blackbirds, blue tits, chaffinches, and lots of sparrows. Sometimes you see a woodpecker, and various birds of prey, and mallards and moorhens occasionally visit the pond to nest. | ||||
